What a great day to celebrate our own personal freedom to choose a healthier lifestyle. I am writing this while sitting at our campsite. Finished breakfast a while ago, and totally enjoyed making English muffin breakfast sandwiches along with fresh cantaloupe.
Welcome to the team. Here you will find all sorts of help with questions, and for the times you simply want to vent. I have been around SP for some 3 years, and this has been quite a journey. One of the first things I did was complete my SP page, which really made me think about what I intended to work on. Then I moved on to the food and fitness trackers which made me look at what I was eating and doing every single day. When you log in that info, it is amazing what it does once the daily feedback reports start coming in. Talk about a non judgmental way to get me to wake up! Actually the first thing I did was buy a good pedometer for the same reason. Every step I took was a visual reminder about my progress.
This is a very doable journey you are taking. Make your goals reasonable, and be prepared for changes in how you see yourself over time. I certainly am far from perfect, meaning that there are many times I really mess up. But the message is this. Jump back in after those moments and remember that no journey goes in a perfectly straight line. Just stay going in the right direction and you'll be fine.
