By the end of Week 1, I would like to have lost 1.8 - 2.2 lbs. I want to lose weight to feel better and have more energy. I want my health to improve so that I want have to continue to take medications for High Blood Pressure and Cholesterol. I will try to journal my food choices, exercise at least 4 - 5 x, and get at least 6-8 hours of sleep.
DIMITTGIRL - - By all means, don't be ashamed!! There are underweight people that are diabetics. Diabetes is also an inherited disease, not just from too much weight and wrong eating habits. Diabetes CAN be reversed. I've been with SP for 1 year last month. I've lost 27# (even with 3 major surgeries last year alone), gone from a size 22W-24W to an XL Misses (tops) and a 16W pants, been able to stop my oral insulin (Metformin) and brought my cholesterol and triglycerides down to well within the normal limits. It can be done!!!
I did notice that you have not started your SparkPage and I would advise you to do that. Go to My Trackers (click on it), down to My Spark Points (click again), down to One Time Challenges and on down to Create My Start Page (click on it) and go from there. This will allow people to "Friend" you and vice versa along with other benefits, thus more support and friendships.
Also, set small goals for yourself. Set your weight loss goal of only 5%-10% of your total body weight so that you don't get disallusioned and discouragaed. Set other individualized small goals as well. Drink your water, eat your 3 meals and 2-3 snacks a day, exercise and get your 8 hours of sleep a night.
We are here to help and to encourage one another. If you have any quesitons, please feel free to ask us and we will do our best to help you out. REMEMBER: YOU ARE WORTH IT!! and together
Have fun and enjoy your Spark journey.
