Welcome - yes, 18 pounds may be a bit ambitious for 8 weeks - the recommended weight loss goals are to lose .5 - 2 pounds a week and the 2 pounds a week are only recommended if you have a BMI over 30. That doesn't mean that you should be discouraged - losing some weight over this 8 weeks will help you toward your other goals as well. Start small and work consistently and you will soon lose those 18 pounds.

With love and caring from Nancy ... wishing all of you a wonderful, blessed, and precious day.

o.k. here goes.

my name is tonie. 53 years old. 5'4 and 198 pounds. ugh.
i'm living and working in europe. i have a very stressful and demanding job that i compensate with alcohol. sad.
i'm starting to have menopause symptoms. i'm on cholesterol, high-blood pressure,
and pre-diabetes meds. time to get serious about getting healthier.

setting my goals for this team.
1) 8 kilos (~18 pounds) in 8 weeks. is that too ambitious?
2) walking 10,000 steps per day (at 100 steps per minute that works out to 100 minutes but i'm counting every step including walking from my car to my office)
3) no more than one glass of wine per day
