From my past experience, never go by the scales - - they aren't very helpful at all!! Instead, go by the way your clothes are fitting or by how much more energy you have and better overall health. Also, alternate the way and how you are exercising. Don't work the same body parts each day - - switch things around.

Make some small changes and keep working toward your goals. Sometimes it is easier when you set a goal that is not about a number on the scale but about behaviors that you want to change. That way you can see progress even if the scale slows down its drop and/or stalls. You can do this.

I hit a plateau in my quest to get my weight down, so I'd like to use this as a springboard to lose 10 more pounds, but 15 would get me to my intermediate goal of 200 pounds.

I want to get in better shape, too.
