Today is going to be a slower one for me. After finishing the Relay For Life this past weekend, it is going to be a relaxing day I hope. Oops, think we are making sugar free cherry pies at church for a fund raiser. Well, certainly glad to be making them and NOT eating them. Will save that for another day!
Will be thinking of you tomorrow when you are getting that tooth pulled.

Thanks everyone for all the support and advice. I'm having to be very careful at this time because I have no appetite. I woke up Tues. with a killer toothache that turned out to be abscessed so I'm now on antibiotics until they can pull it next Tues. Between the antibiotics and Aleve I feel like a zombie with no energy for exercise and no appetite. I'm going to stay at week one until this is better.
Makes me think of a few friends who did not pay close enough attention to their diabetes. I remember them saying more than once that they would double their insulin when they ate a meal that was really off target. At the time they laughed about it. Here we are 20 years later and watching them struggle is really hard. Making lifestyle changes while you are in control of those changes is empowering you to truly impact the quality of your life. Diabetes is a whole body disease. It took years, but I finally understand that. I wish my friend had.
I say this quite often. Recommend becoming familiar with the food tracker, which can be incredibly helpful when monitoring carbs and other nutrients. A pretty direct way of getting feedback every single day. I often take the feedback reports to my doctor spots. Welcome to the team.

You are smart to do something about this BEFORE it gets out of control. So often we don't pay attention to the warnings we get. Losing the weight has helped me even though I am a diabetic and not pre-diabetic - I have really reduced the need for meds significantly.
With love and caring from Nancy ... wishing all of you a wonderful, blessed, and precious day.

just discovered yesterday that I'm pre-diabetic. Doctor put me on a pill to help as well as an 1800 cal diet. He thinks we can turn it around if I get this weight off. I plan to do that I don't want it to get worse. My goals is to re-lean re-think my eating not just staying in the calorie range but making sure most of the calories are not carbs. I also plan to get more out of my exercise. Intensity instead of quantity. What good is the exercise if I'm only doing fluff.
