I am new to this team. I have struggled with weight issues for the past 28 years. I am at an all time high in my weight which is troubling to me. I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes this year and put on Metformin. I actually like exercise but schedule everything and everyone else before doing anything for myself. I realize that I am an emotional eater too. However, I want to reverse the negative patterns that have me where I am today. I know that it will take time. I believe if I can manage stress, time, my nutrition and put my action plan into effect it will happen. So, I'm looking for support to keep myself focused. I work full time, have a disabled husband and a demanding job. If the Lord says the same, I wiIl be a Grandma next month and I want to be around to see my Grandson grow up to be a healthy young man. I have a lot to look forward to. I welcome the opportunity to cheer others on their journey of healthy living too.

Hello, I'm also new to the 8-week challenge. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in July/August of 2011. Because I do not have health insurance I never went back to the doctor and haven't been taking any prescribed medication. About 3-4 months ago I bought an blood glucose meter and have intermittently kept track of my readings. But I plan on checking daily from now on to stay on top of it. Ideally, I'd love to reverse this disease through diet and exercise. The two biggest problems that seem responsible for causing it in the first place are obesity and sedentary lifestyle. I am not much of a sweet tooth. Rather more of a slow-metabolism, one or two large meals a day, carb-lover in the form of potatoes, pasta, & bread. These, and all things cheese, appear to be my greatest weakness! LOL ;)

What would you attempt, if you knew you could not fail?

well here we r a new journey we go i have been doing this for 12 days on my own and im just learning more and more as i go and check out diffrent things on my way another challenge or a goal or recipi it great im so glad i found this site ty guy and girl

I do too. The odd thing is I never used too. I've been walking every day and it has dropped at at least 20 points daily.
