Here where I live there is a Wellness Center that is associated with the hospital and I can go there and they will give me a new glucose tester with the needle thingy and usually some start up test strips. They also have a great diabetes support group that meets once a month and there is no cost. You might see if you have something like that or send me a private message with you address and I can sent you one and probably some needles to go along with it if you are interested.

I have been reading The Spark book so I decided to set small goals for week 1 only. I know that I try to do too much too fast and when I can't I quit. This week: 1. Get a new cover for my blood sugar needle thingy so I can monitor my fbs. 2. Eat at least 2 fruits or veggies each day this week. 3. Stretch for 10 minutes each day. 4. Check in to this page every day this week for motivation.
