TAN, if you have a child that is a very big motivation right there for you. If you are the child's example it will work for both of you. Think about your goals and write them down, Make small goals so you accomplish them and move on to the next goal, that really helps you to feel good as you accomplish each small step. I use the diabetic tracker I feel it helps me stay in my Calorie, carbs, fats and protein goals for each meal or snack so i can see what I an actually eating. That is the key. I thought I ate healthy for years and once I measured and weighed my healthy food i discovered I was simply eating TOO MUCH of it. Hello everyone, I have been looking around spark people since January and tried a couple of the trackers as well, but feel it is time for me to start doing something. I have been a diabetic for the last 5 year and all of my siblings (4) are diabetics it is very prominent in my family and I think it is time I start doing something more about it. My A1C are good (7.0) but I think I can do better with that as well. The biggest thing for me is to get healthy, live a long life and be a good mom. Need motivation to exercise and eat healthy.
