I usually run in the morning, before eating (or I might grab something light before running). What works well for me is to walk my kids to school, then run a loop that gets me home in roughly 3 miles. On the weekend I do a different route.
I was in a training clinic at my Y that met in the evenings (6 PM) and I liked that, but can't do it consistently (need to make dinner, or take someone to an event, or ... you get the picture). Plus it's dark, and I'm not keen on running outside in the dark.

I run at 5am on weekdays and 7am on weekends. I have to run on a somewhat empty stomach and my evenings are just packed with making dinner and time with my 5 yo son and husband. By 9pm I am TIRED! I can feel my energy growing though as I reconnect with running and biking. I really love it and it's nice to be back building my endurance. Although the scales say I gained a pound this week, I am going to stay focused.

I run when I have time. Right now, that's 7 AM or so Saturday morning, and after work 6 PM or so Monday and Thursday evenings. I'd technically have time Sunday or Friday, but I don't on Tuesday or Wednesday so Mon-Thurs-Sat is what works for three nonconsecutive training days.

I run in the morning as close to 8:30am as possible. I go to the gym to run and their daycare opens at 8:30. Since I have a toddler I can't go there any sooner. But I find it's the best time for me to run because I've had time to digest breakfast but it's not too late that I lose my motivation. Running in the morning works better to wakeme up than coffee! It gives me an awesome rush to get through the day. I've tried running in the afternoon and evening but it just doesn't feel the same and it always feels a lot harder at those times.
I usually go with my sister to workout at the gym in the morning, and then do running after work. Since it's getting to the cooler part of the year now, it works out well. It gives me something to look forward to throughout the day. I go to a local conservancy that has a 4 mile loop. It's really the best time to relax for me.
