W2D2 and I ran 3.6 miles this morning at 5am and it was a perfect 45 degrees. This challenge is starting to be a tad fun. I am so grateful to be healthy enough to do this. It was not always the case in the last few years. I am thankful for healing and restoration of my body. And I forgot how much I love running. It's starting to come back!

Yesterday, I overate so I was trying to make today a low cal day. Since I knew I was going to go out to eat lunch, I only drank some juice before heading out for the run. I have also not been drinking water as I should, so was dehydrated. The run was hard and I probably shouldn't have headed out. Did it only because this is going to be a hectic week and I figured if I didn't I wouldn't fit in all 3 sessions.
Half way through I had to do some extra walking instead of starting another run, so I did an easy jog during my cool down. 10 minute warm up, 5 minute cool down, total of 60 minutes and 4.38 miles

My W2D3 included about a 5 min warm up & cool down. My overall distance / time was 3.19 in 44 min. I was a bit disappointed that the last 4 min run, I had to cut short by 2 min... but, none-the-less we'll give it another go tomorrow.

Hi Chrissy121285! For me W2D1 was 38 minutes 2.37 miles on a treadmill - but that was a better pace than W1 by 1 minute.

W2 D1 total distance 5.2 miles, but the 35 minutes of walk 1, run 3 for 7 cycles was 4.32 miles. Walked the rest (an additional 12 minutes, 45 seconds) with a brief jog across one intersection to get home.
Ultimately, I hope to running this entire 5.2 mile route on Saturdays.

I am doing this with a partner who was out of town yesterday. But I did my last day of Week 2 without her (she was supposed to do it where she was) and I ran 3.1 in 35 minutes!!! I checked my watch several times and checked the online map when I got home. I couldn't believe it! I started running more seriously and consistently in July. My best was three miles in 40 minutes. I may not have lost the weight I want but I have definitely seen improved fitness. Forty minutes here I come!!!

Thanks Chrissy! You're right about the intervals, the last 1 or 2 really take a lot of strength and stamina. Good luck.
Finished up week 2 today, was supposed to run yesterday but just couldn't muster the strength. Good day today(W2D3) though 3.25m in 40m.

lol, I'm confused!! .. how did I cheat? I warmed up for 5 mins, then I ran 4, walked 1 and repeated like I was supposed too... Did I miss something???

yeah, I'm always afraid if I stop I won't be able to start again! That's why I like the SP plan better than most of the others. It goes real quick into the all run part!

Yeh i'm a long distance runner, interval training is kinda new to me and i must admit the stop start is hard work!! would much rather just run the miles without slowing down!!

I'm staying current... starteg half marathon training. Kinda in a slump and not getting in my full 3 miles. I'm doing the Halloween 5k for fun and to support others.

I had to go back to my run keeper log to see how it went since it was June. My comment was "I think I had too much beer over the weekend" lol
SO I guess it wasn't the best run I ever had. I really enjoyed the SP 5k training plan!
Good job on your distance!
