Pmay, that's awesome! Keep up all your hard work. I used to hate running but now I actually look forward to my runs. I still dread the middle portion of my run but I always feel so great when I'm done that it totally makes it worth it! Who woulda thought???

Day 3 Week 2 was a huge success! I really am enjoying this. I am stunned. It actually makes me smile while I'm doing it. I think the difference this time is a reasonable training schedule (thank you SP) and a reachable goal. I need to claibrate my Nike+ equipment because I am getting different reading on distance between my treadmill and the Nike+ stuff. It isn't a big difference but I would like to know the actual distance. I am not sure about the treadmill because when we moved it had some issues. It still works but this will let me know if I need to have professional service guys check it out. Good luck to eveyone this next week. The Trick or Treat Trot is just around the corner! Woo Hoo!!!!!
Day 2 Week 2 went fantastically well. I did the walk 1 run 4 seven times but I added 2 minutes to the front and 3 minutes to the end as a warm up and cool down. I got 3.39 miles so I am already at my distance goal. I just need to get to running the entire thing but I am getting ahead of myself. I will continue with the last day of week 3, then do week 3 and then I will try the all run thing. I am still really enjoying this! Who knew?
Day 1 Week 2....Woo hoo!!! How come I didn't know I was going to enjoy this so much. I know I am really early on in my running program but if I had know I was going to feel this great about it I would have been a life-long runner. I did my run this morning and it was fantastic. I did the walk 1 min, run 4 min and repeat 6 times. I LOVED it! I am already looking forward to Thursday and bummed I can't run tomorrow. I will cross train with some Coach Nicole workouts and my strenght training. No movement on the scale just yet but I don't think I even care. It will come eventually! I took about a week off inbetween the 2 weeks because of vacation and pure laziness.
Because Day 1 and Day 2 of this week are exactly the same, I just tried to challenge myself to get a higher mileage at the end of the 35 minutes. And I got an additional .07 miles yesterday. Which isn't much, but it's a lot for me when the most I used to ever run is 2 miles, now I'm consistently running 2.9 to 2.97 miles. I can't wait until I can hit 3 miles in 35 minutes. Next week!
And Day 3 is 40 minutes, so I know I'll beat that 2.97 mileage mark. That mileage I'll compare with W3D1 as it's the same time.
I'm getting so much better using this program. And they really are tiring me out, too. I'm so glad I signed up for this challenge to run the 5k at the end of next month. :)

Week 2 is really kicking my butt. I am hanging in there though. I am not giving up. This is a challenge I am not losing.
I really have a hard time getting through the last 10 minutes or so of the work out, but I persevere somehow. Sometimes I think this training is one of the hardest things I have had to do, but I know that the harder it is, the more proud you are of yourself.
Believe in what you are doing, let nothing stand in your way and make the impossible a reality.
