I completed week 1, and it was easier than I thought. Having the schedule on the counter has helped. On the last run, I made it just over 3 miles. It really slows your time to have the walking, but I feel like I'm going to be better over all by taking it slow. I'm not really worried about my mile time, righ now anyway. I had not been able to get out of bed to run, but this has given me the motivation, so stay tuned for next week!

I was able to complete the 3 training days for week 1, although I had to do them on thurs, fri and Saturday which meant my poor legs were a bit sore by yesterday's run, so I could not keep up the pace and jogged slower. I will space out the training for week 2 starting tomorrow - Mon, Wed and Friday runs planned. So far so good though!
Week 1 went very well. I am pacing slower than I would like still but I am improving with every workout. I did day 1 of week two yesterday and paced at an 11;33 mile. A lot slower than I would like actually, but I know I will continue to get better. I would really love to be under 25 min for the 5k but I have to be realistic. This is my first 5k and I do have short little legs that take small strides on a good day. So, I think I will try to get under 29 min and anything under that will be a bonus.
Hello, I just finished week 1 this past week. I tracked only 2 miles in 32 minutes. I walked for a minute and then ran for 3 minutes. I have to increase my speed. I will do it. I need a incentive and this it. Thanks
