Had a great run today!!! It was the first time that I was able to walk/run 3.23miles - a little over a 5K. This is the first time since my foot surgery in December that I could run and feel pretty good. I ran a pace of firstname.lastname@example.org for 3min / email@example.com for 10 minutes. I also included the 5min warm up at 3.8 for 5min/ and a cool down for 5 min. My next steps is to only include the run portion of the training and get to 5K without the warm up. But as a success I'll take it!!! Will be logging this one on my fitness tracker. Will be traveling this week, but am booked at a hotel with a fitness center and I'm bringing my monitor - so no excuses!!!
I'm starting my next run program. I completed (with a few missed days) the Walk / Run program, and am looking forward to this program. I am using these programs to help as part of my therapy from foot surgery (Dec 2010). I was cleared in May to start retraining - and I'm off and running.
