Almost there. Did my first Week 5 today and was worried about jogging for 3 but didn't have too much problems. Really hot and humid here (as is most of central N. america) so got out early.
Just noticing one developing problem. My left hip is sore but not when I run. At work when I've been sitting awhile and get up it is quite sore and stiff. I stretch after my run/walks.
Any thoughts?

You are my hero. I am very sorry to hear you are having pain, but you STILL keep going. Awesome. I hope whatever it was that it was just a fluke and has passed. You are almost there!

Wonky bodies happen and you just have to take it in stride...no pun intended LOL. Seriously, you will have off days and hopefully this pain is nothing.

Grrrrr after day 2 and what was supposed to be day three today I am so mad at my body. So mad! I feel like it's letting me down! On Wednesday I did day 2 and in the first set I got this stabbing pain in my lower left abdomen. It wasn't a stich, it reminded me a bit of when I had an ovarian cyst (though thankfully not at that pain level). I pushed through it as best I could but I had to keep stopping all the time so I don't think I did it properly. My pace was really bad but I did finish. I tested it yesterday and it only hurt when you pressed on it. I could walk just fine. I did my cross training and it didn't bother me at all. So I figured I was ok to run today. I was fine for the first 3 sets and then it started on the 4th set. I pushed, thinking i could get through it. I had to keep stopping again and when I tried to start up the 5th set it hurt so bad I had to sit down by the side of the road. I felt dizzy and again, like someone was stabbing me. I walked back home. I couldn't finish day 3 today. I really really don't want to have to take a break for this to heal if it's an injury. Anyone else had this happen? It's not a side stitch because I've had those, this was too low.

Well, I will try again on Sunday or Monday. I have come too far to quit. I'm pretty competitive and this is really bringing that out. So angry at myself.

I can seriously relate to you getting hyper-anxious with a new distance. Even a veteran like me (can't believe I just said that LOL) gets anxious...very anxious...with a new distance. When I was training for my first Half Marathon, I would almost get physically ill on the night before a new distance long run the next morning. I also remember the giddiness I felt when I finished that run. Its all part of the process and remember to to enjoy each and every minute of it.

I will say it agin. YOU are doing so awesome!!!

I did day 1 of week five today. As is my custom when I start a new week I was nervous. I was really worried about how hard it was going to be to do three minutes. I reminded myself to slow my pace as needed and let my body decide how fast it was going to go. I noticed most of all that my form has improved. Even when I'm not running I notice I hunch less and keep my shoulders back. I think I ran too soon after eating or something because I kept feeling like I was going to throw up while running. I took a break at one point after a set and would slow down as needed. I figure it's just my body getting used to being pushed harder than it's ever been pushed. My husband cheered for me when I came back and that made me really happy. I didn't go as far as I wanted. I only did 2.62 miles. But each time I get a little further. By Thursday I will be doing 3.1 miles! I'm really excited about this!
