As I was walking back this morning (with the occasional jog for a few seconds), I thought I'd start a thread with this title. Then I saw this one, so I clicked on it instead. 10 minutes out my left calf cramped up - don't remember that happening before. I'm going to keep up the walk/run this week - but stay on week 4 next week. I think I should have warmed up more, too. With the SP 5k on the week of July 29, there's time, and I think I'd better take it.

You should be in great shape for your 5k end of this month ! I never left running my sub before my first 5k either. I found great comfort sticking close to home, now that I am training for a 10k, I am making myself leave the sub ! Good luck and keep me updated on your progress
I think I am going to go on to Week 5 after all. It's the last week, and I want to see how far I can go since I have a 5K on the Saturday before Memorial Day. I am actually very curious to see how I do with the 5K at the end of this week. I have a route mapped out that is 1.6 miles around my neighborhood, twice around is a 5K. Let's see how it goes. I am not doing as well with Week 4 as I expected, even with my brand new running shoes and socks today, so I want to repeat Week 4. If I just record it under the regular my Fitness page instead of the 5K Your Way page, will that work? Is it better to leave the group, then redo Week 4? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
