I am REALLY enjoying this 5K training!! I like seeing what my friends can accomplish. I am amazed at what I can accomplish. Seeing how my friends are doing gives me the extra push to try harder myself....to believe in myself!!
I am using a treadmill and this weekend I gave the "run"mode a try. I set it that my low was 3.0 my high was 4.0 with a 3.5 following it, then it just repeats about 6x. Saturday was fine at that rate for 30 minutes, so I thought I would try a 5K at the halfway point of my training. So on Sunday I set the treadmill for 1 hour and hopped on. At each speed I moved for about 3minutes.....so 3 min at 3.0, 3 min at 4.0 and 3 min at 3.5.....I haven't done that before usually it is 1-2 minutes each. It was hard at times but I got through it!!
I was able to do the 5k in 53:11 !!! I wanted to cry!! I can't wait to see my time on April 16...the day I am going to do the race for this program!!
