Whew! I have been pretty lazy this week, so this is my first workout...W4D1 was kind of tricky for me. I was doing okay for the first three runs, but then they got harder...I knew the last one was getting ready to start and I had decided to just walk it...but then, being the perfectionist that I am, I decided that I wouldn't be able to say that I successfully completed it unless I followed the plan like it said to. So, I jogged it. I'm not ashamed to say that this one kind of kicked my butt! I'm looking forward to finishing this program, though! I know I can do this!

Okay, I did pretty good the first three weeks. They were fairly easy for me. This morning I did workout 1 for Week 4 and I just about collapsed. Well, not quite, but it kicked my butt! Whew.

Just do it!

I made it to week 4, despite a slowdown because of some back pain. I only walked for a few days until that improved. I am back today! Have completely fallen off the good eating program because I gained 1/2 lb. last week. I am one of those people who should never weigh or only once monthly! I get discouraged easily and with me, it is all or nothing. Ha. But I am back on track today and feeling good. Hope you are all enjoying the spring weather and the training.

I finished week three today. It was hard for me and I found I was dragging my feet a bit. I will complete the training and the race, but must work harder now. I am glad to read all your posts and it is encouraging to see how we are all working. I know we can all do it.

Got thru day one of week 4 and I thought that I wouldn't be able to finish but I did!!! And I really concentrated on holding in abs in while I walked to help out. And now I feel like I did some crunches as well as walk/jog. But that is okay! I need to feel it!

Not sure how I'll feel tomorrow but, at least I can say that I did it and survived!

Finished Week 4 Day 1 today. The longer jog was tougher for me, but I made it through and kept on walking to get my quota in.

Getting a little nervous with the 5K coming up, but I know I can do it. I might not be able to keep the intervals up, but I know I can walk it without any problems, so if I have to finish walking, I'm going to finish it walking. And who knows? By the end of next week I might be able to do the intervals for the whole 5K.

W4D2 here I come!

Finished week 4 day 3 today. That last interval I had to push to finish but DID IT! Looking forward to week 5. I have the CardioTrainer app on my phone that you can set to be reminded of intervals but it didn't have any of the intervals that we have done so far. Week 5 intervals it has. I'm looking forward to just walking and jogging and letting the phone tell me when it's time to switch.

You guys are so encouraging. I love coming on here to see how others have overcome their struggles too!! today was day one of week 4. I did NOT think I could run 2.5. I just got done struggling with a 2 min. run. But I did it. Each time it was time to run I told myself "well, maybe just 2 min. and I'll see if I can do more." And I did the whole 2.5.
54 years old and I have NEVER run so long at one time!! **shaking my head in amazement**

Day 2 was much better than day one. I did 2 1/2 min jogs instead of 2 min 50 sec jogs. I can't believe the difference 20 secs more of jogging made. I finished feeling tired but great!
AND all my equipment worked right!

I finish day one of week 4 yesterday,and I did day 2 today,but I did more mins because My girl Friend was with me so we both run/walk and end up doing 90 mins with 3 ,4 miles, and I could feel it in my knee when I stop,hope I can do day three tomorrow,if not I am going to take off the day tomorrow,hope every is having fun.

Living a Healthy and Active Life style, Reach my Goal and very Happy with my Body,my eating habits,Fresh Fruits, Lot's of Green vegetables,drink 8 To 10 glasses of water daily.

I had a rough time with Wk 4 day 1 today on the treadmill. I accidentally set my gymboss for 2:00 min and 2:50 thinking that the jogging interval was 2 1/2 minutes. I found out half way thru the workout that I was actually jogging 2 min and 50 seconds. I knew I was having a rough time, then I found out why. I did the last 2 segments at 2 min and 30 secs but I was already tired from running for almost 3 min segments.

I made 2 other errors. When I tried to change the treadmill speed I accidentally cleared the display. I also forgot to turn on my HRM. ......So I had no data on mileage, HR or calories.

I definitely learned that our tools can be wonderful or can be a real source of frustration!

Did Week 4, Day 1 on the walk/jog training! I thought I'd be way slower, because something was causing me to have asthma symptoms, stopped used inhaler & a drink and still finished in good time, also went ahead and went longer so that I got the 3.l in at tying my best time.

Whew! I have finished week 4, day 1 and it kicked my booty! I was feeling a bit full of myself after Friday's workout (W3D3) because I added an extra repetition and felt wonderful. Today though, I'm tired! And sore! BUT I am also very proud of myself because I finished it! I have officially run and walked an equal amount in 30 minutes (I walked an extra 3 minutes at the end of the workout). That's HUGE for me!

I hope everyone else has a great week 4!
