It might be a combination of all of those things. New shoes might help. You may also consider doing some of your walking on a non-treadmill surface. My husband is a runner and hates runningon the treadmill because he feels they are much more unforgiving on the body than outdoor surfaces such as sidewalks, trails, etc.

Ah, rats. My feet are sore. I was doing so well! I was actually enjoying my time on the treadmill! I have been making progress and am feeling stronger. But my old body may be protesting the pounding. Maybe the combination of age (52) plus excess weight (38lbs) is gonna limit what I can do right now. Guess I'll take a few days off and see if I can get back to it later in the week. Maybe I need new shoes. Any ideas?
