Hi Dawn! You don't need expensive exercise equipment for your cross-training days, really. Any non-impact activity will work. DVDs like yoga, pilates, Zumba, kickboxing, would all be great. I like Jillian Michaels 30-day Shred and Coach Nicole's SparkPeople cardio workout DVD. You can find some good deals on DVDs on Amazon, eBay, or a local used sports equipment store.

Good job guys! I did my week three day two this morning and all went well. It was kinda cold outside and that part was no fun but all in all it was a good time. I have trouble thinking what cardio to do on my days that I don't do the 5k program. I don't have any exercise equipment and I don't have a gym membership. Any ideas? I have been doing Leslie Sansone videos but that really puts me walking everyday. I want to switch it up a little.

Today was my cardio day of week 3 and went pretty good. Did the stationary bike for about 20 minutes (4 miles) only because I had to get back to work before a meeting. But I did it. I almost talked myself out of it but I went and read while I biked. And I am feeling great. I am loving everything about this program. Whenever I get a chance to tell someone I do!

Today was supposed to be Day 2 of Week 3 for me. I joined a gym and today I went up for a fitness/strength analysis. They gave me a total workout. My body says no more for today! So...looks like Thursday will be Day 2. Well, I'm hoping it will be. I go back to the gym for the rest of the assessment. If I get a workout like I did today, I won't have the energy to give it my all.

I just started week three today. I am doing the walking program first because I am pretty out of shape. I used to be a runner and that is where I wanna be again. Once I complete this walking program I will do the jogging then running! Can't wait...one step at a time. I love this program. Week Three, Day One went great!!!!
