I so agree Terri, after today and my pain, I was considering stopping the program until I can lose about 20-40 lbs. (Just so I wouldn't be putting my body through all that) but I have noticed a BIG difference in my body and energy levels. So It is not the time to give up.

People close to me have noticed the difference, and it feels so good to hear how I look smaller. Well its your personal journey, and do what is right for you, as I will for me and everyone for themselves. Good luck and have fun. That's the key. Jen

I'm having to take a break from the program while my ankle tendons get a little better. My route is 2 miles uphill and back, and just walking it at a fast pace is a big workout! I'm going to continue my walking and add the jogging again soon. I'm not being a big sissy about it but can't see forcing myself to endure that kind of pain when I can go a little slower and avoid it.

I am at end of week 1, 3rd training day with 1 mile time is at 15 min 38 sec and I live in a very rural neighborhood and my walk has lots of inclines and declines. I still need to improve my jogging times because I am not hitting the mark ...might move my walk/jog to the treadmill until this heat breaks ...even 94 degrees at 8:30pm is too hot !

@ TerriJ7 emoticon wish I would have known about those tips on shoes and wearing socks. I have never jogged only in school I ran in order to beat my partners time in gym class. THAT"S ABOUT IT. Sad to admit, but I will.

My daughter complimented me. She said I look thinner. WOW. that is great coming from a little girl her age. I felt so happy with the hard work I accomplished tracking and exercising. Wow. I swear I just got her back today, and while she was gone, It felt like I have been on this computer checking my emails and typing nonstop. I have gotten in the habit of checking my email like every 5 minutes to see if anyone replies to any of my posts, blogs, or write me sparkmail. But LIFE IS GOOD. Celebrate Life tonight. Gratitude. Thats what its about along with love. I am grateful I have found this little community where I can share and strive and be supported along the way. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I didn't walk today at all. I feel as though I needed a day of rest. Why not my higher power did too. Well enough from me tonight. Bedtime soon. My schedule for sleep is so messed up. I need a sleep makeover. Goodnight ya'll. pleasant dreams and make some of those goals tonight that you want to achieve for tomorrow. Just so your sub-conscience can dwell on them..... Shoot for the stars, Jen

I would never suggest running without socks or wearing new shoes to run in. I have had various troubles with my feet (from bunions to blisters) and am now wearing Vibram 5-finger shoes for my walk/jogs. So far, so good.

I am so nervous. I have a gigantic blister that is just going deeper and deeper, with my walking/jogging, and walking to park. It really is sore, not on the top, but on my underlying tissue. Then I wore sneakers without socks, and there was a part of the sneaker that gouged out a spot on the back of my Achilles tendon. Wowo my two feet are in hurt mode, but that will not stop me. does anyone have any QUICK remedies? week 1 day 3 of this program....

ah forgot to report in yesterday.

yesterday was my second run. I did about 2.5 miles in 32 minutes. not too bad.

I signed up to do the run/walk wasn't sure how my foot would do with running, it is okay.

I've been working out for a solid year so this is just a different avenue now.

I did about 2-3 min of running for 3 min of walking.

Felt good. Trying to decided when to do my next run.

I've done 2 other challenges this spring so this will get me through the summer.

I did the day one walk jog, I've been working out quite a bit so I ended up joging for 2 min and did it for 28 min and 2 miles.
