Today was my week 1 day 2. I decided to not run today and instead I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of belly dancing. Tomorrow is my second running day!

I did it. I went to the gym last night (by myself, in the dark!) and completed the first session of the 5K Your Way Walk/Jog Program. I'm so proud of myself!! emoticon

Today was a pretty awesome day I went tanning this morning and then I hit the outdoor trails at the YMCA. I did walk 4, jog 1 for 1.34 miles in 26.39 minutes (AVG Min/Mile 19.32).

Went back to the gym this morning and had fun with the emoticon Silver emoticon Sneakers emoticon class. We worked out for 60 minutes and only let us have a minute to rest inbetween each exercise. I then went by Payless emoticon Shoes and bought a new pair of work out shoes. I then brought home emoticon lunch for my husband and son. I then had an appointment emoticon at the fitness center this evening for new years measurements. So while I was there anyway. I took advantage of the emoticon treadmills and ran for 32 minutes. Then I went over to check in on dad and to see if he needs anything. Then came home with my son and had fun watching tv with him.

Hope everyone has a good evening with whatever you do. Hope you are enjoying your .weight loss journey.

I did w1d1 on Thursday, was going to do strength training on Friday, but ended up going to an arts festival and walking around for more than on hour so "counted" that instead. Saturday morning when I got up I was so stiff from my hips down that I could hardly move. Made me feel about 90, no kidding! I did some laundry, so down and up stair was all I could handle for a few hours.
We returned to the arts festival in the late afternoon and spent probably another hour wandering/strolling around. I felt like I was out of the loop of beginning before I really started and was frustrated.
Today, I decided to use our treadmill rather than going outside in the heat and humidity, so I finally got in w1d2! I actually did 32 min instead of the 25. Partially because I wanted to "make up" for not having walked/jogged yesterday and partially just because." I started at 3.2 walking with no incline and 3.8 jogging with no incline. Then, I gradually increased to 3.2 and 3.4 walking with 3.0 incline, and 4.0, 4.2, 4.4 with no incline for jogging. I was really proud of myself for getting back on the right track.

Day 1: Walked on 3.0 and Jogged on 4.0
Day 2: Walked on 3.0 and Jogged on 4.5

I have been walking for about a month on a daily basis, going from 2- 3.5 miles every day with no problems. This route consists of very steep inclines. On a treadmill, I am having problems with pain on top where your foot joins your lower leg. Not sure what is up with that. I still continue to push through.

Tomorrow is Day 3 and will see if I can push it up to 5.0 on the jog/run part.

MAY WE ALL REMAIN STRONG, PERSISTENT & CONSISTENT. WE CAN DO THIS!
