I LOVE The Biggest Loser! If they can survive AND ON TV IN FRONT OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE... I can get back in shape and finish a 5K in a decent time. We can ALL do it!

YOW-ZA!!!

I think you need to go at a comfortable pace for you.
Yesterday I completed Day 1, Week 1 (I started last week, but wound up with shin splints that knocked me out of finishing, so I started over yesterday with better shoes), and was actually WHEEZING at the end of each run portion (How do the contestants on Biggest Loser not DIE from their workouts?).

You shouldn't be punishing yourself, but instead, building endurance slowly. Do what feels right and you'll be doing great!

Thanks...
I will give it another go tomorrow and just cover the distance without pushing or looking at my watch. Slow and steady...

I started last Monday and it took me almost 40 minutes to go 2 miles. And if that isn't depressing enough, I am so out of condition that I also managed a nice dose of shin splints. My legs feel pretty good today, so I intend to head out tomorrow.
