Awesome! I really liked running on my vacation because it definitely gave the trip a nice sense of normalcy. I did day 3 today and I did more milage in less time! I also didn't get side stitches and I could feel that my form was better when I was running. It does get easier and it's totally worth it.

You are doing great to plan ahead when you go out of town. I will have a week that I will be doing this on vacation also. I started W1D1 today, so I am right behind you!

Thank you Laurie! I took my shoes with me on my out of town visit and I was able to get in day 2. Day 2 was easier I think because I was jogging on mostly flat ground. Running in the city is a bit different from running in the country. Thankfully the weather was nice and I'm looking forward to tomorrow's jogg!

Rachel, first of all WELCOME!! You are starting out very smart since you are aware of how important slowing your pace is. That tells me you are going to be very successful with this journey. If I can ever be of assistance to you, please let me know.

I started the program today. I'd been thinking about it for about a week, testing my walking and jogging skills with some test walks around the neighborhood and mapping out my route. I started today and I really wanted to push myself to do more but I reminded myself that I have to start slow. I tried to focus on my form and my breathing. I definitely need more deep breathing practice because during a downhill portion (I live in the mountains, hard to find flat land) I ended up getting a pretty annoying side stich. I'm going into the city for two nights so I plan to bring my running shoes and try to get up on Saturday and jog. Here's hoping!
