I am still training...I ran my fastest mile yet this morning
under 12 minutes....I am so proud of me!!!

Carve out what is most important to you first, then allocate your day to others! I promise you and they will be better for this decision!!

I am working on my time in smaller increments.
I aM SO THANKFUL TO SP for creating this challenge! It has been a great learning experience for me. I have learned that Icould do what I never imagined I could.
So now that I have a skill, Iplan to work it to improve outcomes. I still dont love running, but I am no longer afraid of failure!

Thanks you guys! I think maybe I'll spend a week or two doing week 8 again (maybe longer, maybe adding more intervals) then start the 10k program depending on how I feel. I should probably get used to running 2-3 miles at a time since running what I did the other day really took all I had and definitely wasn't "comfortable." (There's that line in the 10k article that says you should be able to comfortably run 2 miles -- and I'd rather practice to run 10k than walk/jog it.) At the same time, though, in some ways, I think it was actually easier to run that stretch than to do intervals. Whenever I catch my breath and have to start again, it's tough. . . which I suppose is a good thing, but still. Anyway, thanks for pointing out the 10k plan! I think the structure with the 5k plan is what really helped me be successful. I wish they had an interactive calender for the 10k, but at least there's that chart I can print off.

Thanks again!

Keep running :)
Find another 5k to keep you motivated.
Redo week 8 a couple times or move onto SPs 10k running program.

emoticon running your 5k plus some!!

I'm finding it hard to stay motivated now that I've finished the program too. Right now, I'm just focusing on not back-sliding. But my plan is to keep trying to run longer and train for a 10k.

Today I ran 3.76 miles in 45 minutes without stopping to walk. I'm so excited by this, but at the same time. . . now what? How do I continue to train? What are everyone else's plans? I'm sort of lost about what to do next.
