I Compleated Week 8 Day 1 and I finally got up over the gigantic hill and pressed on to hit the 4 km mark . Took me 31 mins ! Amazing ! When I started the run today the first 1 km was really hard my legs fleet like led and stiff. Good think I had stretched out well. For the whole first km I was battling my self to get to the 1 k mark and when I did I battled the first small hill bu talked my self that when I get to the top I will turn around if I have to . But then I got to the top and said to myself it is all down hill and I said well I will do that and see if I want to turn around. Well I got to the bottom and said well I am preddy close to the 2 k mark so I will got to that . When I got there I said the half way mark for the 5 k is just over the second hill so I started up the hill ang got to 2.5 mark and turned back. Then I said the second last run I got as far as 3.5 and so got up the hill half ways so I said to myself I did it befor I have to do it again as my 5 k race day is Sunday . So I kept going and when I got half way up I said I really got to try to get up to the top of this hill as I need to know I can do it in the race Sunday. Well I took my time but amazed that my timer still had time left on it and I realized that my pace was a lot faster that 2 runs ago! Igot to the top and I decided well I am at the top whoo who so only a little more and I will get to the 4 k mark and I did it!!! Now I know that on Sunday there Is a high chance I will finish my first 5 k race May 6,2012.
Someone pinch ME!!!

I ran the whole way - again I wasn't expecting to. I had my gymboss programmed for 3 sets of 13 minutes running and 2 minutes walking and I fully expected to at least have to walk after the second set but I ran the whole way. And I am utterly shocked at my time - just over 34 minutes!!!
I am so excited - I can't wait to go on my next run!!
