Susie, Thanks! Just remember I've been running longer. So 3.1 miles in One day is great! I remember those days well. 3.1 miles was a BIG DEAL!!!

Right now I'm training for the big 200 mile Hood To Coast Relay in Oregon the end of August.
After those 2 runs in one day, the next morning I ran another 6.45 miles for at total of 19.95 miles in a 24 hour period.

I think I'm ready for the relay!!

Suezette, that IS cool! I always think I've done so well if I get my ONE day's run in. 3.1 miles. And you've gotten TWO runs in with twice that each.

I ran a double run today.
This morning I ran 6.2 miles and the temps were cooler then they were tonight for my 7.3 mile run, when it was hotter.
My pace was much slower for the evening run.
Heat will do that!

Your time will always be slower in heat and humidity and yes, it will be harder to breathe. There is not much you can do about it. Slow down and stay hydrated.

I ran my first 5K on Saturday night. The temperature was 99 degrees at race time and just as high humidity. I found it hard to breathe; almost like I had asthma. Any advice on how to handle this? I finished but it wasn't great.
