Do the best you can. It will be a PR anyway you do it. Then you have a time that you can improve on :)
Good luck!

It's been raining a lot lately, but I ran again yesterday anyway.
I was pretty wet when I was done, but I'm glad I did.
I almost feel like I'm not going to be ready for the 5K next week.
I know I can finish it... I've been doing a 5k for the last week on the training run... I just wanted to be able to run the whole thing without walking. That's what I'm really aiming for.
I guess even if I don't it's not all that bad. I'm definitely in better shape than I was a couple of months ago.

I'm glad you're back on track!
I run on a paved pathway that marks distance in tenths of a mile, I've done two miles on it before (got to 1 mile mark and turned around), but went past that last week and found they don't mark the distance after 1 mile! So I found there is a Nike running app I can download for free to my smartphone, I ran with that for the first time today and it tracked my exact distance, would give me prompts at each mile telling me how far I had ran, how fast I ran and my average pace. The app also tracks each run so I can see if I'm running, longer, farther and faster. So far I really like it! I run with my smartphone for my couch to 5k podcasts, so if you do something similar you should check out the app, then you'll know how far you've run as you're running!
Good luck with the 5k!

I haven't run since the night before Thanksgiving... a week and a half.
I only ran 1 day in week 5 and totally skipped week 6. What's wrong with me?

Well I'm back on track and decided to jump to week 7 because I only have 2 weeks until the 5K I signed up for.

This week was much more difficult, but I seemed to find my zone by about the 3rd leg of the run. I really wish I ran last week, but there's nothing I can do about it now. I'm pretty sure I at least ran a whole 5k tonight. I logged it as 3 miles, but I need to check it out on a map. It was definitely much farther than I've run previously.

At least I'm back on track and convinced I'll see this through to the race.
