I give anyone who can run on the treadmill lots of credit. I started out running on one but once I got outside, I could not run on the TM anymore.

I really wish I could like the treadmill! Especially during the really hot, hot summers here!

Week 7 done. treadmill again. It's just too dark here now, and it's only going to get worse. A few things I like a bout the treadmill 1) not as hard on my knees (even with running shoes) and 2) my water bottle and towel are always within reach. I'll have to get to like it more than outside, I'm going to be there for a long while.

Yesterday was W7D1 - on the treadmill. We got snow last night here in MA, so I definitely couldn't run outside. But I did go on the treadmill, and it was good. Hoping I can run outside tomorrow, but we're supposed to get snow again................ might be back on the treadmill.

Today was week 7 day 1 and I managed to complete 4 of the 7 reps. Even though I didn't do all 7 reps I did 3 more than I have ever done before so I am declaring victory for today and aiming to complete at least 5 of the 7 on Sunday.

Week 7 Day 2 Done! Beautiful day today too - I wore my new beanie & did 2 extra intervals. emoticon

I'll be traveling this coming week so I wont' be able to post much if at all; I have a plan to run W7D3 on Sunday, which is usually my rest day; then do W8D1 Tuesday & D2 Friday, then W8D3 next Sunday, which will actually be my 5k race... the traveling changes things but I think I can get it done!

Holly, Sondra, & Bonnie - hope your week 7's & 8's are fantabulous! I'll check back in when I can. emoticon emoticon

You all are doing great! I'm a little behind you but just completed W7 D1 today and had a blast 'just doin' it'! Running in the park was really nice today - it makes me wish I could run every day instead of 3 days a week... I wonder how hard that transition is? I know I'm not physically ready yet but I will be someday! emoticon

I got behind cause I took a zumba class instead of running on the treadmill. I just hate them so much!

So today I completed day 2, and did 2.5 miles in the 35 minutes. I feel pretty good post-run too! I'll try better to stay on track for the rest of week 7 and then into week 8.

a gorgeous day in Michigan to complete my final day of week 7... added on one additional interval to complete the 5K - think next week should be ok since already repeating for a total of 40 minutes!! Still worry about the 5K without walking, but I've been successful at all the rest so Im sure I will be fine doing that too! See you all on week 8 blogs!

oh the lovely treadmill.... sure makes the run seem harder than outdoors, completed it successfully, adding on 3 mins to complete the 5K. Overall feel pretty good about it.

I just did day 1 ... my pace was so slow ... went from 14 min/mile up to 16, but I could feel it when I was running ... AND at least I kept going.

I just hope day 2 goes a little bit better. I'm going to focus on making sure I'm better hydrated before that run. Hopefully that will make the difference.

I went out yesterday for Day 1 of week 7, and boy were the winds blowing! For the first 1.1 miles I was against the wind, needless to say my 2nd and 3rd interval were killers. But once I turned, it was great after that, I didint really notice much difference between the 3 mins and 4 mins. I felt great, and actually added an 8th interval on in order to complete 5K! was a terrific run! Im not so sure what I get all worked up about worrying about how bad it will be. Seems to always work out ok!

Amazing! I ran 10mins and walked only 1 min, and repeated 2 more times! I just didn't want to stop jogging, but I had to check my heart rate on the treadmill. It felt so great and I will be ready for jogging the whole 5K for sure now! :)
