Today was supposed to be my Day 3 of Week 6. On the 4th interval I ran for 4 minutes instead of 3 so then did 5 intervals that way. So I finished week 6 & started week 7 today. I had wanted to finish this training on Saturday to coincide with finishing the Summer 5% Challenge but I wasn't able to train one week when I was away. So I'll finish in another week. Starting to believe I can do it!
~ We can't become what we need by remaining what we are.
Well, when I woke up this morning at 5:30 am to do day 1, it was dark out and usually it is light out. Then I heard the thunder. It didn't seem to be pouring so I went out anyway. I put my cell, which I use as my stop watch in a small ziploc baggy and went on my way. It was sprinkling a little bit, but not too bad. The great news was that jogging in the rain/dark distracted me from the hardness of the workout and I felt fine-and it started raining a little harder on my last round, which actually felt nice. The bad news was that somehow I managed to only burn 1 more calorie than I had the week before? I found that strange-I think I went from 11.5 min mile last week to a 12 min mile this week, but still I don't get that one. But I survived and some people/posts had really scared me about week 7.
