Well, I'm almost done with "week 6" of training. However, I've been on a bit of a workout hiatus and haven't done any actual running in about a week and half (a bit of laziness, a bit of being sick, and so on). Also... I am still on the week 5 routine (walk 2 / jog 3 * 6). The 2 minute recovery time makes it very tough for me to do two 3 minute jogs in a row... so I am going to keep at it until I can do it all 6 times - however many weeks that may take, LOL.
Still having periodic issues with the shins when I run - as I've said, it's been awhile, so they will probably be OK the next time. My shoes are brand new, I think those are probably OK (but if I get some extra $$ I may go to a running store and get fit to be sure)... I did read some stuff about the compression sleeves that a lot of people seem to think help, so I may try those.
So... just thought I'd give my update here, even though I am "technically" in week 6 of the training.... just not doing the week 6 training :)
