I listen to music when out running, only when I have a buddy. But I LOVE music and it makes the run go by so much faster.
Every accomplishment begins with a decision to try!
I LOVE listening to music when I'm on the treadmill! I don't have a mix-tape (yet). I usually pop in a CD and have it playing in the background (usually ABBA Gold, Saturday Night Fever, or Pure Disco). The beat forces my feet to keep moving and keeps my mind from getting overly focused on how I feel like I'm gonna DIE right on the treadmill!!) The one time I ran/walked outside, I had no music...just my husband with a stop watch, telling me when it was time to run and time to walk...I swear he was lying to me...that was the LONGEST 2 minutes (of running) in my entire life! (Maybe subliminally that's why I haven't "found the time" to continue on to Day 2 Week 2 Training...hmmm....) I will definitely use music during my next training session...but this time, NO HUSBAND!!
Don't expect a good day...make one!
I started using music but safety made me stop.
Now I only use music on my walks or when I go to the gym.
It definitely makes the workout easier and faster to finish.
Life IS Good!!
I have to listen to it. I bounce around with all kinds of music. My all time favorite song to run to so far is "Ain't that Peculiar" by Marvin Gaye. Go figure:)
"Oh who else knew that 3 minutes running was actually 10 minutes doing anything else in the Universe?"
LOL... isn't it amazing. I could have cried the first day I actually ran for a minute and repeated for 30 minutes (forgot that I didn't need to do it for that long) and found out I wasn't going to die from it. Love the fact that I don't have to walk forever for a calorie burn:) I have a ways to go, but I like what it has added to my workouts.
Mud Runners and Obstacle Racers Team
Hey all. Does anyone else like music when they run. This week looks to be a challenge. Any suggestions on some upbeat/forget the pain an oh yeah of course breathe dummy music. Thanks. Oh who else knew that 3 minutes running was actually 10 minutes doing anything else in the Universe?
