Hi there, Sally I agree with you. Week 3 day one was much easier to do this week than the first day of week 2. because it was cool here, doing the extra set to add 5 minutes wasn't too hard at all. I too am worried about running for 3 minutes but I am also excited about seeing if I can actually do it.
I am going at the pace of the program so I don't burn out. If I find that week four is too hard to keep up to, I will do week 3 again until I am ready.
However............I am determined to make it work and will push myself. They don't call this hard work for nothing LOL.

This was day 1 of week 3 for me. I struggled on week 2 day 1 and also today. On Saturday I cross train and Sunday is my rest day and Mondays just kick my butt. I do not know if it is the 2 days without running but it seemed harder today then at the end of week 2 and the intervals are the same, so I would think it shouldn't be.
just finished day one of week 3! whoo hooo 2.06 miles in 30 minutes! now the 3.1 miles/5 k does not seem like it will be too difficult distance wise, what does seem difficult will be to do it all running without a walk break! I have a hard time thinking I will be able to do it continuously without my lungs exploding! LOL
I just finished week 3 day 1 and it wasn't too hard, but I did notice that my shins, left ankle, and left arch were aching a bit during the walk/run (especially the walk portion). I made sure to put a little more time in stretching when I got home.
What I am really proud of is that I did 2 miles in 30 minutes! Woohoo!

I did Week 3 Day 1 yesterday and it was not too much harder than Week 2. I was also glad the running interval didn't increase, just the time overall. I wasn't even sore today! Seems hard to believe I'll be doing more than 2 minutes at a time, but I guess next week, I will be. Gotta finish this week first though!

Finished Week 3 Day 1. I was amazed that I did it. I was so glad that the interval didn't change this week (3 min walk to 2 min jog), only the total minutes. I was soooo glad to be able to walk again after each 2 minute jog.
