week 2 is done. I increased my speed this week and it felt good. Today I am suppose to start week 3. I have been running in a grass field but it is raining today so I am not sure where I am going to do this. I don't feel comfortable where people are watching and the roads around my house have big hills that I am not ready to run up.

I started on a treadmill but once I ran outside, I rarely used the treadmill. Now I find it so boring!

I do like to walk around my neighborhood. Especially with my dog. But it has been so cold out and I absolutely cannot stand the cold. Once it gets warmer here i will be out there. It is more convienent and I want to test my running on the pavement compared to the tredmill.

Way to go! I also finished week 2 yesterday and will try for the start of week 3 on Tuesday.

If you can't get to the gym because of school, maybe even a walk in the neighborhood would be good? I agree - it's hard to fit it all in!

great job! I found week 2 to be a bit easier. I did week 3 day 1 yesterday and let me tell you I had to push on those 3 minute runs, but I did it..

After week 1, the first day for this week was torture. I was sore. But i kept going and finished. I took a couple days off and then finished the week. I am actually starting to enjoy going to the gym. It more of an "I want" instead of and "i need" now :)
I was actually surprised at my progree in just 1 week. By the last day and the last running interval, i wanted to push myself so I ran longer than needed. A whole 2 minutes longer!! I couldnt believe it. Now i have a head start on week 3.
I also shortened my mile time from 19.58 to 17.27. These little changes are making me happy
The only thing i need to work on is cross training. I like to use the eliptical or the bike but by the time i finish on the tredmil i am out of time. I am so busy with nursing school. But st least im making time to run :) 5k in 42 days!
