Congrats to all of you - I'm starting week 2 on Tuesday and quite nervous until I read your posts. Now I feel more positive going into it.

Me too! Next week doesn't look too bad ... just an extra cycle ... but still no more than 2 minutes of running! Yeah for us!

Day 2 of this week was much better ... the humidity seems to be way down today ... which for florida is saying something. It was still hard to do the 2 minutes, but I didn't feel like I was choking on the air.

Saturday should finish up this week. Keep at it everyone!

I would really be interested if you find any additional information on the breathing. I am getting pretty good at slowing mine down. Nice deep breathing but I always wonder if it is slowing my heart rate down do I get as much aerobic benefit from it?

I read somewhere that you need to concentrate on longer deeper breaths rather then shorter chest breathing. It was hard to do when actually running, but it really helped with the recovery walking time. Some where on here some one mentioned some videos on youtube about running and breathing. I'll have to look later. My legs are fine ... but its the breathing that I need work on.

I am on week two also. Today will be my second day. I need to read up more on breathing techniques.

I really thought I wasn't going to be able to do the first day of week 2, but I woke up with a positive attitude and told myself ... I only have to run for 2 minutes at a time ... and guess what ... it was hard ... but I can do ANYTHING for 2 minutes. I watched my breathing and I definately wasn't as fast at the end of the 2 minutes as the beginning but I DID IT! :)
