I finished week 2 this morning with a little slower time, but a lot more heat. I am going to have to start getting up earlier to run. I have never been a morning person, but I am going to make myself sick running in the heat. I live in Michigan and the temp here has been hotter than I remember it being in 25 years. I know its the first week of July, but our temps are usually mid eighties and we are hitting 100 degrees regularly for the last 3 weeks.
Anyway....I did it. As much as I wanted to quit, I just slowed down and kept on trucking. I have found a local 5K run to do on the Saturday falling at the end of my Week 8. Now I am trying to work up the nerve to sign up for it. I keep trying to convince myself that I am now a runner, but it is a hard change to make in my head.
