Very cold in Mich this morning- 40 degrees and high winds. Spent a little more time running than the plan called for on day 6. I was just trying to stay warm and get back to my warm home as quickly as possible. I'm glad I completed my run/walk.
Congrats on getting off to such a great start! Signing up for a race at the start of the program seems like added motivation. That way you'll have the date of the race in mind as a goal from the very beginning! Keep up the good work!!
I will keep trying no matter what. Little changes add up over time to make big differences.
I started week one with already turning my walks into runs. I had actually been running slightly longer intervals than what the program called for, but decided to stick with the program and focused on making my runs a little quicker.
I'll start week 2 tomorrow. I am signing up for my first race this week. It is Saturday, June 1, a week after I'll finish the program. It is an evening run with fireworks and glow sticks! Super excited!
