Today was my first day. I started at week two (since that's what my training plan said I was to do). I did 3.0/3.5 walking and 5.0 running with a 1.0 incline. When I went back to tracking, I realized I did the week two plan of 3 min walk and 2 min job for 25 minutes. I'm not sure what that will do to my overall tracking for the trophy, but I was very happy go get through the session without too much difficulty.

If you are just starting this program, don't worry about speeds! Right now you want to build your endurance. If you go fast, you'll burn yourself out quickly and not be able to finish the intervals. There is no such thing as too slow either!

Good luck with the program! I'm about to start week 4 and what I've been doing is jogging the intervals at 5 mph and then walking at 3.5 mph or at 3 mph if I am tired. I have not increased speed yet and I don't think I will since I think that might wear me out before I finish the workout. I think once get to where I can run the entire 5k I might start working on speed more.

I'm about to start this training program and I'm so excited! I'll be doing my running on a treadmill and I was wondering what speeds people use for walking/running. If you've been doing this for awhile, did you increase the speeds you use over time?
