Hi, I started this program (again) yesterday. Felt great. Haven't been too good about tracking food or exercise lately so I figured I needed a fitness goal to motivate me. Hips are a bit sore today but feeling good!

I do wish they had an app for this, I had to remember what I had to do at the gym today, (today wasn't to hard, but c25k type app for your program would be great, for on the go.

I started the program last night and did the day 1 run. Yes, I finished and yes, everything hurts. But my wife told me "today is the hardest day you will have doing this, and it only gets easier from here." Shins hurt, muscles hurt, feet hurt, but my mind feels great! And also as a result, I did not mindlessly eat before bed because I did not want to waste the calories I just burned. So woo hoo to this new adventure!

Today was actually my second day following the program. I have found that I can run for two minutes, walk for two minutes and do this five times for 20 minutes. Should I be changing this or stick to the program as it's set up? Also, I was on the TM the first day, and it seemed a lot easier for me than today, which I did outside. It is still quite cold here, so not sure if that had anything to do with it either. Still excited! I know we can do this!

Did week 1 Day one. My second time doing this program. I was up to week six before Xmas but got sick and fell off track. Decided to start again. Must say I really enjoyed it!! Like to have a program like this to give me a goal to reach for. emoticon

I did Week 1 Day 1 today, and it wasn't too hard. My knees hurt some, but maybe cause I walked another 40 minutes, then did a 10 minute Bootcamp cardio video afterwards. I may have to swap out that one Bootcamp video while I'm doing this so I'm not doubling up on the cardio.

But, I can do this....so Day 2 on Tuesday for me. emoticon emoticon

I've signed up for a 5k in mid-April, so I have 9 weeks in case I have to slow it down some and repeat a week. btw, I took everyone's advise and got good running shoes before starting.

I did W1D1 today as well. It was good and I didn't get too terribly winded. Calves burned through the first half though. ugh. After it "finally" warmed up some it got easier, but then I was getting tired. LOL

Did week 1 day 1 today. I ended up doing 30 minutes instead of 20 and 4 min walk 1 min run and did 1.97 miles. I thought I would have more trouble with it but I was alright. I'm excited for day 2.

Did week 1, day 1 last night and while I'm sure it was not pretty -it felt good to do! 1.47 miles in 20 minutes! I've never been a runner, always enjoyed other exercising -so this is the perfect program for me to get started with!

Just did day one for the first week!! I ended up doing a jog one minute walk two minute interval! It worked great I haven't jogged in a long time but I am so ready to get back into it!! I lasted 20 minutes and went about 1.47 miles! I am super pumped especially since I did not want to even do it!! I just have to keep pushing!

Yesterday I set out to complete the Wk 1 Day1 challenge. I did better then I thought I would but boy was I glad there was not another cycle. I can say it was not pretty for form and jogging/running was probably slower than the walking pace. I look forward to the day I feel like a gazelle!

All things are possible...maybe not easy...but possible and worthwhile!!! I believe in ME!

Finally, finally, finally I was able to get started with this plan. So far, so good...no adrenal crises symptoms and it's been over a month since I went into shock.

Best part, my DH is joining me in the program...it makes it easier to monitor my body and easier to follow through.

1.22 miles in 20 minutes...a lot slower than the 42 minute 5K in October, but if feels so good to break a sweat again.

1st day. Not bad at all. the first part of my walk is a hill and when it came time to run up that hill, emoticon but I did it and I made it! emoticon Going to read up on breathing techniques because I felt like I couldn't catch my breath after the hill. But the 4 minutes in between was more than enough time to catch it. emoticon emoticon

I started running by doing a 1 hour walk on my TM. During that 1 hour, I ran for 30 seconds twice. I swore, cursed, ranted, raved and cried both times I ran and swore I would never do it again. But I did do it again and again and again.

I also just ran my 7th marathon this past Sunday. It does get addicting if you keep at it :)

Yep! I started on Sept. 4th, I started out running for 1 minute and walking for 2 (or 3 I can't remember) for about 4 intervals and then increased my running time and decreased walking time each week, I repeated a few weeks if I felt I needed to.
This program lays out nicely a walk/run program, the program I followed was a bit more aggressive but I was able to do it just fine, and I've NEVER run before.
I'm up to almost 3 miles in half an hour!! It took me almost 3 months, but I'm doing it!

It's really hard to suck in your back fat.

Great job everyone! Just wanted to add that if you are struggling with week 1, you might want to try this other training plan instead: http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/training-program.asp?p=4 It is slightly easier program with a more gradual ramp up.
