week 1 day 2 in the books. i'm def proud of my self once i've ran the 2, one minute blocks and i know I only have one left. I actually ran an extra minute on my way home today. Cut my time down by more than two minutes! I walk to the park/track and it takes about ten minutes. I end up doing 4 laps during the time i'm there, then I walk home. it takes aprox 40 minutes and I go a little more than 2 miles. Today was only 37 minutes! I have fear about next week, but I'm going to try!

Just finished week 1 day 2. Legs and feet still hurt, but not as bad as day 1. Onward and forward. 😀🏃

This is Week 1 Day 2; wow; Iím so impressed with myself. I started day 1 on Saturday and intended to run again on Monday; however; I was so sore I thought it was best to hold off one more day. Iím so glad I did; I was able to complete the workout. The only difference is day 1 I ran outside; today I had to run on the track. I can tell the difference in the running surfaces; easier on my knees today. I guess I will alternate between surfaces from time to time; but I want to run mostly outside to get familiar with the pavement; it doesnít give as much; tougher on my already bad knees. Nonetheless; itís done and Iím mentally preparing for Week 1 Day 3.

It's weird, to running I am a complete beginner so am following the rookie plan, but maybe I have more stamina than I thought thanks to all the dancing I do? I'll see how I feel on Week 1 Day 3 tomorrow!

I found the same thing, it was like my muscles were tightening up when I walked.
I actually am following the Couch to 5k program which is more agressive than this, you might want to look that up and see what they recommend each week, they do much less walking and more running faster in the program, you might want to try that or try a hybrid of the programs to find what works for you.

went for my Day 2 Week 1 walk/jog last night and I'm finding the 3rd and 4th walking section quite tiring but the running not so much - what does this mean? I feel like I could run for longer so I'm interested to find out how I do on week 2!

I have made a commitment to this - by buying a reflective vest so I can run in the evenings after work in Winter - and I'm really excited! Will be doing Week 1 Day 2 when I get home tonight!
