I agree with what others have been saying. I have a pair of very tight running pants and I never experience chafing when I wear them (whereas even just walking for too long in a skirt can cause some serious chafing for me). To protect the spot, I would normally just put a bandage or two over the spot, although it seems like others have a lot of additional products to try as well. I find that simple bandages can do the trick (especially if you are wearing tight pants/shorts since those keep the bandage in place for me).

They do make compression shorts for women.

I use BodyGlide for chafing.
You could also use Vaseline but that is a bit messy IMHO.

Try the normal exercise tights. They work like a dream. Also soft, tracksuit pants will do the thing. Good luck.

I would try BodyGlide - I would imagine you can get that at a running or sports store. I bought mine on Amazon.

If you can't find that, A&D Ointment would work too. :)

Hello!! I'm two training days in to the program, and I have a question. What do you do to prevent chaffing? I'm not a tiny gal, and I guess the seam of my running shorts rubbed a raw spot on my inner thigh during yesterday's run. How do I keep that from happening again? And also, what can I do to protect that rubbed spot while it heals on tomorrows run?
