Good for you. The point isn't to "win" the race but complete. You can do this. Haven't heard of any 5K events for arthritis, but do know that my knees like me much better when I am walking.

Walked in my first 5K today. It was so much fun. There were cheerleaders all along the route cheering everybody on. I was at the back of a pack of about 409 participants. I walked, I did not run as I have no cartilage in my knees. I would like to enter a 5K to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation if anyone knows of one near where I live.
