I walked my first official 5K just befor my left knee replacement. Sept. 18th.
Sept 19, had the knee replaced. Since then have walked 2 more 5K's.
But now I am going further. set my sights on 10K. Working on increasing my time. Do a little jogging with the walking. But the doctors wants me to stay in walking, power walking mode, easier on my joints. I am 69 soon to be 70 and can honestly say I haven't felt so good in years.
I will try to locate a Turkey trot in my area, or some walk.
My BF and I walk every week rain or shine, usually 5 to 7 miles. So I guess i am accomplish what i set out to do.
