Good Evening Everyone,

Spent the day with Robert cleaning the house. Robert did a good job cleaning the dinning room while I was still in the Kitchen. We are having Robert's Counselor over on Friday for a home visit so that is the reason for not working out right now but house cleaning.

Robert had an appt with the doctor at the Counseling clinic today. I was hoping that Robert could get off the ADHD meds today. At the end of the appt the doctor advised us that Robert has improved 100% since 2006. So the doctor told me that we can start winging Robert off the meds. I was thrilled about it.

We then went over to a friends (Debbie's) house. Her granddaughter is away at band camp and was wanting company. Debbie was thrilled with the info about Robert's improvement. She told Robert to go in and pick out a drink and a bag of candy. So Robert did and after 5 minutes Robert lost a tooth. Debbie told me that Robert will have to put that under his pillow and the tooth fairy will bring him something.

Tomorrow we are going to finish up cleaning the house and then I can get back to working out and ranking up points. I know sparkpeople says that house cleaning don't count as fitness.

I have got in all my water today and stayed in my calorie range.

Hope everyone has an Awesome evening with whatever you do.

Good Evening everyone,

Today my husband decided to stay home an extra day from work. I worked out at the house while he took Robert to the gym and worked out.

Robert surprised me when they came back home. He brought in a diet Dr. Pepper emoticon . I told him I couldn't have it until I get in all my water. Because that is one of my July goals. Robert told me so you don't want it. I told him no that I will have it later today with supper.

I have started cleaning the house and getting ready for the busy fall and school activities. I figure that if I do a deep cleaning now that I can keep up the day to day cleaning every day.

I hope everyone has a good day with whatever you do.

Started Week 5 today and got up early to do my walking. I can't imagine whatever possessed me to do this 5K Your Way during the hottest and most humid part of the year!! You'd think I could sweat some pounds off, but with all the water I drink, that never happens! LOL. I will do the 5K on Friday or Saturday of this week. Congrats to all who are nearing the end or already finished! Jeannie

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Yesterday I went to the gym and worked out. I rode the emoticon bike for 47 minutes. Attended the emoticon Silver emoticon Sneakers emoticon Class emoticon for one hour. Also did the weight emoticon machines for 40 minutes.

I'm getting ready to work out to the biggest loser on WII. Then I will have to take Robert to wednesday emoticon bowling emoticon league. The team that Robert is on won all 4 games today. I was proud of them. After that I will take Robert to his counseling session then back home to cook supper.

I have lost 3 more pounds this week.

Hope everyone has a good evening with whatever you do.

Good Afternoon everyone,
Yesterday was one long day. Started out getting ready for Robert's big day at a TV Station as a winner of the Junior Meterologist contest. I have written a whole blog about it along with the pictures if any of you are wanting to visit. I think that I over ate yesterday but don't know because we went to Golden Corral and didn't have a chance to measure anything. I also didn't go to work out yesterday since I thought I would get in some walking at the station. During a break my son and I played a little one on one in basket ball at the stations basketball goal.

Today has been a recovering day. So far I am doing good with staying within the calories and getting back on track.

I hope everyone has a good Sunday with whatever you do.

Great Job, ALL of you. Congratulations for following through!!!

Jusfold, did you have both hips done at the same time? I went through hip replacement surgery myself, last summer (just one, though).

I've been doing my 5k every week for the past 4 but keep forgetting to post! Today's walk was done in 52 minutes.

I had major foot surgery last year and have been unable to do any weight bearing exercise for so long that I am thrilled to be back to walking!

YOUDONTOWN ME, this is a neat idea! Having buds along makes the steps go faster.
I did mine today: 3.17 miles in 59 minutes. Can't jog or run due to having had both hips replaced, but was satisfied with my time - 19-min mile!

I finished my walk in just under 48 minutes in bad weather, strong winds and snow flurries. It was invigorating, to say the least.

Completed the training and walked my 5K in 48 minutes, felt really good. This walking program sure helped to motivate me to walk longer than I usually do. I would like to keep that up and aim for at least one 5K walk a week.

I walked my 5K today on my lunch hour (and about 25 minutes:)
My friend and I started out just to do our regular 45 min. walk, but when we realized we had already walked 2 miles and did not feel winded we decided to keep on going to get my 5K done. It was such fun!

Six months ago we would never have believed we could walk 3.2 miles in 59 minutes emoticon

Can't wait to find another walk to do!

I walked my 5K yesterday morning, walking to church while the kids got a ride with one of my friends. It was excellent! Good weather.

I walked at 16 minutes per mile, and got to my destination in 50 minutes and 9 seconds.

Now I'm going to repeat and DOUBLE the training and go up to 10K walking. emoticon emoticon

Well, this challenge was very good for me. I started out keeping to the training plan then discovered that I could push it a little, go further and really got into walking everyday. Now I think it would be great to run, the knees and hips just wont take it right now. I'm thinking that as the weight comes off, I will pick up speed, cuz right now I am very slow. But my 30 year old daughter is also in the challenge with me, and our "race" day is Thursday. It may only be a race of two, but we are taking it seriously! We have already planned on performing a 10k in June at a public race. Shelly even decided that in a year, maybe the half marathon.

This SP goal was very good for us. I am glad that this community is so encouraging and helpful and the members are there to listen to my ramblings, cuz it really helps me, sticking to the plan, venting, sharing my accomplishments. Good luck to everyone!! Anyone who can't do the race now, those of you with issues right now, don't loose your spark, you'll reach your goal soon!

Yes, risk taking is inherently failure-prone. Otherwise, it would be called sure-thing-taking.

The doc says I have a neuroma in my left foot. He gave me a cortisone shot and said I need to put off walking for two or three weeks... If the shot does what it's supposed to do I will do week 5 in two more weeks. I'm pretty disappointed but still determined to finish what I started:)

I did 5 miles [instead of 5K which is 3 miles], but I did about a 14 minute mile. Sorry I haven't logged in the weeks previous. Did do my walk today. emoticon Also, met my weight loss goal yesterday so pretty excited about that! {{{hugs to all you GREAT Sparkers}}}}

I did my 5K today along the paths near our home. It was a beautiful sunny day, but the wind was horribly strong. Faced it the entire way back! Whew...resistance training! Still made a decent time of 42 min.

Did my week 5 day 2 today. I can't believe it! I am actually going to do a 5K walk!!!! I will probably do it this Saturday unless I have to work. My walking partner has told me she is willing to walk with me as long as she can. I have news for her, she'll be able to do the 5K because she's been walking with me and encouraging me all along the way:) I can't wait.

Will have my "race day" Friday or Saturday depending on the weather. We are suppose to get 6inces of snow on Friday. Working long hours today and tomorrow so these days are out.

I am looking forward to the race, but completing the race is bitter sweat. It means that I will have to join another challenge...I'm scared.

I did the 5K on Friday and proceeded Friday evening to walk another 3 K (to and from my shul) Shabbat did nothing as my ankle was hurting me. Now what do I do on Sunday/Monday etc. I want to keep up the momentum

WOOHOO
I am ecstatic that today is my 5k day
I am going to be sad it's over
I will definitely have to do another challenge after this because it kicked up my weight loss when I was slowing down or staying the same!
All my best to all who are running!
