I also have problems tracking. I don't wear watches or pedometers because I can't afford to keep up with the replacement costs. I have a vestibular problem so I fall fairly frequently, but I put in several miles a day putting out water, food and doing clean up for my animals. This has to be done everyday, so I get a daily work out of some sort.

To track for the program, you will find it on your start page on the lower left under "Personalized Programs."

As for calories burned, Spark can often be overly optimistic at times. The Mayo Clinic lists for a 240 pound person walking 2 mph a burn of 305 calories. Remember the longer you are out the more calories you will burn as well as long as you keep moving. If you have to stop for long periods, figure the calories burned per minute and subtract out resting calories. Even better, get yourself a heart rate monitor with calories burned and that will give you a much more accurate number.

Depending on your other workouts and the calories burned in those, you might be in a large enough deficit that you need to up your calorie intake a little. Before doing this though, I'd look at coming up with a more accurate calorie burn.

A more accurate, though pricey way to find out a daily burn is to use something like Fit Bit. It will calculate 24 hours/day.

As for taking 2-3 hours for your 5K. It doesn't matter how long it takes, we all do the same distance.

I'm doing all my walking, but I can't always find the page to track it. I walked for 2 hours today.
I keep getting a note that I'm doing too much exercise for the amount of calories I'm eating. I don't think they realize that with a walker and my limitations it takes me at least 30 minutes, sometimes more, to walk a mile. It will probably take me 2 or 3 hours to finish my 5K, but I plan on doing it. I have to talk to the Dr about better pain meds, because all this walking is really making me hurt. emoticon emoticon

Sometimes that happens when a site is really busy or your own system doesn't have the band width at that moment. When it happens to me I just try later. Also you can try refreshing the page.

As long as you can track on the log it shouldn't effect the program.

I have the same problem - it tells me it can't find the goal I'm tracking. I left the program and came back and it still won't let me enter my goals. Does this affect the outcome of the program?

I had hoped this problem was permanently gone emoticon This seems to show up once in a while and the techs can't figure out why.

The only "fix" we have found is for you to "leave the program" and rejoin. You can then change the week on the log page to week 3 and enter your info from there. If you want to re-enter the previous weeks be sure to check your fitness page bacause you will probably end up with duplicates.

Sorry for the extra work.

Everything worked fine for weeks one and two, but I can't get the tracker to work for week three. I've been working the plan, however!
