Keep up the good work!!! A couple of years ago, I was participating in 5Ks almost on a monthly basis, then I stopped completely. Walking 2 miles is difficult when you are not used to it. Keep at it. Keep hydrated! We can do this thing together!!!

I finished week 2! That 2 mile walk about killed me, lol. I made mistakes: walked in the middle part of a sunny humid day, didn't take water, and didn't pace myself enough. I am on week 3, and tomorrow will be walking that 2 miles again. I hope to have a better experience this time!
Finished my 2 mile walk in 46 minutes. Actually put a shirt over the time on the treadmill and turned up the music to get finished. Just kept checking every now and then to see how I was doing. Didn't really look until 1.75 and knew I wasn't going to quit then!
I walked my Wk 2 Pt 3 - 2.05 miles in 40 minutes just now... It is 29 degrees and feels like 24... Looking forward to training in warmer weather... I am ready for a good nights sleep... Need to find a way to train when the sun is still up! Not easy when you need to find someone to watch 5 children... ::smirk::

Finally completed my second week. I did the 2 miles in 40 min. I did my walk on the track at the Y and I had a hard time getting going. But toward the end I actually wanted to get done, I made myself jog a slow jog for a little bit. Proved to myself, I could do it. Next time I am going to take my iPod so I can listen to music. I seem to do better with music. I almost quit the walk, but did some self talking to myself, and told myself I can do it and I did it. Looking forward to the 3rd week.

I finished this week with a bang. I walked my 2 miles in 30.33 minutes! For me that is good! Then I felt I still had some energy to burn and hopped on the stationary bike for a spin! Another 30 minutes later I had gone 6 miles on the bike!

Congrats. We lost power today and my daughter who is runner convienced me to walk my 2 miles with her to the YMCA. Well youi know what the 2 miles was really 3 miles and I did it in 55 minutes. Last time I listen to her. Working to walk my first 5K on Turkey Day. Started the program early, it is helping.

I feel very encouraged, today walked 2.13 miles in 41 minutes. I have a new pedometer app on my phone. It's great. Shows you a map of your route, steps taken, distance walked, calories burned, your time and average speed!
