Thank you for your concern ladies, but it actually felt great. I used to walk 5 miles almost daily. l learned proper form from my time here at spark before. When I'm walking outside, it's such a great feeling....the sights, the sounds, both work to energize me. I pushed myself without overdoing....thanks again for your concern emoticon

emoticon determination is good, but WALKINGGRANDMA is right it is better to train so you don't get hurt. Hope you enjoyed it enough that you will go back and start again.

Apparently in a click happy moment when joining the team (last week) I also committed to doing the 5K this week. Hmmm one week of training after 3 years of inactivity. OK, I'm a big girl, I can take the consequences of my actions......

Today I did the 5K, actually 3.86 miles but is wasn't about how fast I did it, it was about being determined to do and "I DID IT" and I did 3.86 mi in 1 hour and 10 minutes.
