I've had a very busy weekend. Lots of work outside, including putting up a carport with DH. It looks good, but what was even better was that I was wearing my pedometer, and at the end of the day, I had almost 7 miles logged!!! No wonder I was tired!

Week 2, Day 3, 2.13 miles in 45 minutes. Piece of fruit!! I just told my left foot to go find the complaint department, because I wasn't it. Beautiful morning!! Saw 2 Sandhill cranes.

Switching the walk to the morning seems to work much better.

I am having a great day!! I just finished week 2, day 2. I did 2 miles in 27.5 minutes!! Actually, I would have done just the 1.75 miles, but I am apparently not smart enough to use the route tracker emoticon I think I'm doing it right, but some of the streets are missing and it appears my house has moved, lol!!

I was so sad because I was having knee pain the last 2 days and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to complete the challenge on time. I took 2 days off and was able to go back at it this morning. Yay!! The funny thing is when my knee started hurting, I just woke up that way and the day before was an off day. Who knows what I must do in my sleep! emoticon

I hope everyone has a great day!!! I am so glad to be part of this team.

Well, today was 1.75 miles. I set up a route on "Map my Route" and had a plan for 1.85 miles. I trucked right along in my compression stockings, and actually finished in 40 minutes.

Spark People is probably the only place where there are people who won't wonder why I find this monumental. That is the farthest I have ever walked at one time in my life.

and I'm treating myself to some time in the pool with no laps or water aerobics, just chilling.

Week 2 started out great but I was a bit slow getting Day 2 in due to a bone spur or some such nonsense on the ball of one foot. But today I was able to get Day 2 in and it felt so good to get 'er done! Now to play catch and hopefully get Day 3 in tomorrow.

I have been walking at work. The restrooms are on the other side of the building so it is a walk from the suite where I work. I do not take the elevator, I'm always walking up the stairs when I get there and down to the second suite for lunch. So I do get the walking in. If I walk to fast, I lose my breath and have to slow down. emoticon

Ow! I'm sorry your knee hurt. Hope you heal up and get back on track quick.

So now I'm doing week 2. Will go for a walk today, have a couple of routes worked out for the training and for the walk. Been reading about barefoot walking and running. Interesting. Used to run way back in H.S. but not since. Always seemed like everyone I knew who ran was always hurt. Just now, til I get back in shape, walking's enough.

I'm a little off on the schedule so this will be week 2 for me. I have been doing Leslie Sansone walk aerobics as the heat index has been horrible. This is the safest way for me to do this challenge.


You can't wait for motivation to strike; sometimes you need to dig deep into yourself and find the motivation on your own.

Last night I went to my gym with a friend, although we don't exercise together, for 30 minutes. I discovered that by not putting in my ear buds to watch the tv's, I was more able to focus on me. I never did 30 min on the treadmill without boredom and feeling badly before! It was nice to be mindful of my work-out and really feel like I enjoyed it! Did a 25 minute walk today after an appointment and will be able to complete my first 5k in 2 weeks! I need to hop to it and get the rest of my training done so that I can walk a better time doing a 5k than I could ever have expected!

Today I went outside and did my 1.75. I did it in 61 minutes, determining that I exercise more intensely on the treadmill. Good to know!

Due to snowy weather I walked 25 minutes on the treadmill. Today is my rest day, but I will be doing the 1.75 walk tomorrow.
