It happened to me too: today I just kept walking, because it was such a beautiful day and being outside felt just perfect. In the end, I walked for 3.23 miles (and I just love that map tracker too, it is so useful!!!) :) Thanks to this program I discovered how much I like walking!!!
I didn't know how far or how fast I was going. Walked with a buddy and just kept going I already did the 5 k 3.21 miles last night. It was a 22 min mile , so there is still room for improvement. I still want to finish with the team. I love the map, as it gave me the info instantly
MRSROME, I agree it's better to go over if you have to make that choice. I have gone over, too, even though I do my walking on the treadmill. I go full force the distance or time the program says to go, but then I slow it down for at least five minutes before I get off, adding extra tine and distance. Way To Go on week two! Tomorrow I start week three. :-)

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

In my community, it is very hard to find an exact 1.75 miles. So what I've decided to do is go a little over. Today I walked 2.06 miles (I used the tracking route feature on SparkPeople); it is better to do more than to do less. Thanks to SparkPeople-knowing I've signed up for activities makes me go back when I stop. I'm suppose to be in week 5, but I want to complete the whole program. So I went back to week 2 and planning on finishing this time.
