Great job getting a walk in.
I started the same day. First time I ever tried this, although I exercise every day. I only have trouble with the soles of my feet hurting in ANY shoes. I could walk for miles barefoot, but there is no place to do that...God bless your success on this journey we all share.

I started my training program yesterday by walking for a full 15 minutes, which ended up being just under a mile (0.96 miles). My calves were BURNING when I got home, but oddly enough they don't hurt today (unusual because I have fibromyalgia, and the burning is an indication I overdid it, which always results in massive amounts of pain the next day). I'm using MapMyRun.com to map my walks ahead of time so I know where I need to walk to to get the distance I need to get. Long as the weather holds out we should be fine. lol
The tragedy in life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.
