Good start.

I'm doing the challenge to rehabilitate my feet after a run/walk 5k back in April. Slow and steady this time.

I've gotten the first two walks in. A little longer and farther than on the schedule, but I'm sure the schedule will catch up to me soon enough.

I just began with day 1. I walked my 15 minutes on the treadmill and I walked .78 miles. I was hoping for further than that. I walked betweeen 3.5 - 4 miles an hour. Tuesday will be my 1 mile walk. Maybe I'll go up to the school after dinner on Tuesday night. It will be more fun to do it outside with my hubby. :o)

I need to start getting up super early, the weather is absolutely awful as far as heat goes. The other day the heat index was up to 115 degrees. I only went out to take the puppies out to do their business. I'm going to be running a bit behind, but I'm still going to do this and it'll be great. Good luck to everyone else too!

Yesterday I got in my one mile walk exactly and it was a lot of fun. Since it was my birthday I decided to go to Fontenelle Forest to see the dinosaur exhibit. Around their one mile raised walkway through the Forest they had life size dinosaur replicas. It was so nice to get out of the city, get connected to nature, and get in my one mile walk. It didn't even feel that long! Spark on everyone!

My plan got a bit derailed, but that's alright. I'm going to try and walk a mile today by taking my dog out for lots of walks. We're also going to the local forest and might do some hiking around. It's really nice out so we don't have to worry too much about the heat.

So yesterday I did the first of my Week 1 program and actually ended up walking for 20 minutes. Tomorrow I'm going to walk the mile and then Sunday I'm going to walk the mile and a half. Hope everyone is doing great! Spark on!
